Thanksgiving Part 3: The Fixins'

This post could also be titled, "Kate's Easiest Thanksgiving Ever." My awesome hubby and BIL agreed to cook the Thanksgiving dinner {with some help from Bridget preparing Grandma Knapp's cranberries.} After the antics of last Thanksgiving, I was more than happy to relinquish chef duties. {Last Thanksgiving in a nutshell = only two burners working, sink clogged, water all over the kitchen, towel on fire, cutting board on fire, smoke alarm going off, Apple Pucker shots}.

Joe and Bryan totally nailed it. I think they even made my signature turkey recipe better than I do! I'm totally fine with this becoming a new tradition...

The table

Bridget and Mia preparing the cranberries. Bridget makes the cranberries each year using our great-grandmother's meat grinder to grind the cranberries and apples. To transport said meat grinder from St. Louis to DC, she packed it in her carry-on. Just when you think TSA has seen everything, they informed her that this was the first time for a meat grinder. Luckily for us, they didn't find it to be a national security threat.

TURKEY!

Mia licking whipped cream off of the immersion blender. A girl after my own heart!

The chefs, relaxing in front of some football after an amazing meal.
